TO
ADD A PHOTOGRAPH OR IMAGE
|
|
First create your images using the
following dimensions.
The thumbnail image should be 200X150 pixels (file size not more
than 10KB).
The main and additional images should be 300X225 pixels (file size
not more than 10KB).
As the size of the image determines
the download speed, the images need to be saved as
Jpeg files.
The smaller the file size the less time the visitor has to wait.
When you save your image in the graphics programme, you will be
given the option of how large you want the files.
We recommend that the thumbnail is no larger than 5-10 KB and the
main pictures no larger then 10-15KB.
Save the images, using easily identifiable filenames in a separate
folder on your desktop.
Go to your administrative page online
and click on edit.
Click on "photos".
You will now have the facility to upload your images.
In the first box, you can upload your thumbnail image (remember
this is the first image any visitor will see and is your "shop
front") by selecting "click to upload image".
Once clicked, the graphical user interface will appear.
Click the box "browse your files".
You will then be able to locate your folder with your saved images.
Once you have found the image, click the open button.
To upload your image click on "upload your image".
You will then return to the "add images" page.
To upload your other images, follow the same steps as above for
each image. (back

| AOL users may need to use
a different browser than the one included with AOL. To do this, simply
minimise AOL after an Internet connection and then start a new browser
like Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator/Communicator.

1) If you
make your email window as big as possible, by maximising it (i.e.
press the middle little square button in the top right hand corner
of the window), then the email text will not be wrapped and therefore
the link you need to use will be intact. The underlined link **MUST**
be on one line for the reply feature to work. Also in
Outlook/Express if you open up the message by double clicking the
email in the Inbox list (rather than viewing the message in the "preview"
window), and then maximising the window that will also work.
2) With your mouse, select/highlight the entire link in the email
message from the first "http" right up to the final "}",
then press CTRL-C to copy the link, then open Microsoft Internet Explorer
and Paste the link into the Address area. Sometimes the entire link
is still not shown in the Address area, and you have to copy/paste
the
two lines into the Address area (the second at the end of the first)
to make the link work.
3) Finally, you can setup your email program to show HTML messages
in your browser. It looks like the one you have sent is what is called
the "plain text" version. In the HTML version, you should
see the words "by clicking HERE", and clicking on the work
HERE will take you to the Villasdirect reply area.(back
